Problem :

Traditional presentations often rely on static 2D slides that fail to communicate spatial depth, technical detail, or narrative flow effectively. This results in viewer disengagement and a lack of visual impact, especially in technical or architectural contexts.

Solution :

Using Blender's compositing and geometry nodes, I developed a layered 3D framework that integrates modular scenes, wireframe overlays, and rendered imagery within a structured spatial environment. The project centers around SPAD — a conceptual architectural or product visualization system — where individual elements (rendered scenes, abstract forms, and layered imagery) are positioned within a geometric lattice that guides the viewer's focus.

By combining 3D composition techniques with strategic use of transparency, lighting, and depth of field, the workflow transforms presentation slides into immersive visual experiences. The modular nature of the system allows rapid iteration and customization for different presentation contexts.

Challenge :

Maintaining clarity while layering multiple 3D elements is inherently difficult. Overcomplicating the scene can obscure the core message, while under-designing risks losing visual appeal. Balancing aesthetic sophistication with functional clarity requires careful control of hierarchy, composition, and color grading.

Additionally, ensuring that exported frames are presentation-ready (optimized for PowerPoint/Keynote) without excessive rendering time was a technical constraint that required workflow optimization.

Summary :

SPAD is a Blender-based 3D modeling and compositing system designed to elevate presentation design through spatial storytelling and geometric structure. By leveraging advanced 3D techniques, the project demonstrates how architectural visualization principles can be applied to enhance the narrative clarity and visual engagement of technical presentations. The result is a flexible, modular framework that bridges the gap between traditional slide design and immersive 3D communication.
